WELCOME TO THE EATON BOOMERS FOOTBALL CLUB Boomers farewell a legend ![]() The President, Board, Life Members, Members and Players are saddened by the passing of our highly esteemed coach Peter Butcher. Butch was our Club's game record holder, fairest and best, Life Member and one of our Clubs icons. Highly respected in the Football Community of the SWFL. Coaching and playing for the Southwest combined side, Donnybrook and Boyup Brook in the Lower Southwest. Butch showed tremendous courage on and off the field. Butch you are an inspiration to all who have had the priviledge of knowing you. To Sue and family, Jason, Adam, Troy and Daniel and the Butcher family, Our Thoughts Are With You All. "RIP Butch" _____________________________ The Eaton Boomers Football Club had its origins as the Boyanup, Capel, Dardanup Football Club. In 1957 they joined the newly formed South West National Football League's seconds competition. Two years later the club was admitted as a full senior member of the league. Based in Boyanup since their inception, the club relocated to Eaton in 2001. In 2006, the Eaton Boomers' colts provided the first significant vindication of the move, as well as a hint of what is soon to come at senior level, by winning the premiership. The colts made the finals in 2007 and 2008, the reserves just missed the finals last year and the club is looking forward to even greater success this year. --------------------------------- Platinum sponsors Gold sponsors |
